잼버리(Jamboree)는 스카우트들이 모여서 야영하고 활동을 하는 대규모 행사입니다. 잼버리는 보통 몇 년에 한 번씩 열리며, 전 세계에서 수만 명의 스카우트들이 참가합니다. 잼버리에서는 스카우트들이 다양한 활동을 할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 야영, 캠핑, 탐험, 체육, 문화 행사 등 다양한 활동을 할 수 있습니다. 잼버리는 스카우트들이 서로 친구를 사귀고, 세계 각국의 문화를 배우고, 새로운 경험을 할 수 있는 기회입니다.

 

1. 잼버리의 역사

 

잼버리의 역사는 1907년으로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 영국의 스카우트 창시자 로버트 베이든 파월은 영국의 옥스퍼드셔주에 있는 브램블헤드에 200여 명의 스카우트를 초대하여 최초의 잼버리를 개최했습니다. 이 잼버리는 큰 성공을 거두었고, 이후 잼버리는 세계 각국에서 개최되기 시작했습니다.

 

2. 잼버리의 종류

 

잼버리는 크게 두 가지 종류로 나뉩니다. 첫 번째는 세계잼버리입니다. 세계잼버리는 세계 각국의 스카우트들이 모여서 개최하는 잼버리입니다. 세계잼버리는 보통 4년에 한 번씩 열리며, 가장 최근에 개최된 세계잼버리는 2019년 미국 델라웨어주에서 개최된 24회 세계잼버리입니다.

 

두 번째는 지역잼버리입니다. 지역잼버리는 한 지역의 스카우트들이 모여서 개최하는 잼버리입니다. 지역잼버리는 보통 1년에 한 번씩 열리며, 규모는 세계잼버리에 비해 작습니다.

 

3. 잼버리의 장점
